Alles, was unser republikanisches Motto umsetzt, ist gut.

Reflection on pension reform in France

Today, December 5th is another day of strike in France. As usual, French peoples will be held hostage by those who should guarantee the continuity of public service. It goes without saying that I do not support this strike. I think the protesters are wrong. This reform is fair, this reform is moving towards a single pension plan for everybody. This reform implements our republican motto: freedom, equality, fraternity.

Everything that implements our republican motto is good. And I would like to go further. Thus it would be desirable to not oppose public service and merchant sector. But one should never allow somebody to work for ever either in the public or private sector. Of course, I am not against the public service, but I think, that it is unhealthy that the same peoples, their life long, works in the public sector. So we should all give a little bit of time to serve the interests of the nation. If we have to work 40 years, then let’s take 10 years out of those 40 years to serve the nation and do not do it for free.

It does not make sence to lower the age of retirement. It does not make sence to lower pensions. All these proposition are unsaleable. You will always see peoples striking on the street, it’s inevitable. If everyone worked 40 years in France, it would be already good! In truth the big problem is that the rate of active population in France is too low (1). Being able to serve in both the public and private sectors would, I think, increase the active population rate.

If somebody loose its job in private sector, let’s give ihm the chance to work temporairement in public sector and the other way around. We are the nation!

By doing so, we will have better teachers. I mean, it would also be desirable that the teachers themselves to put a foot in the job market. The student need to learn a trade. They need a financial autonomy. If they have financial autonomy, they will be able to defend their own opinion and they will be less subject to manipulation.

I think teachers would also earn more respect like that.

Comparison between French and German economic fundamentals

I do not intend to mince my words. Here are the figures for 2019:

The working week in France is 35 hours, while in Germany it is 40 hours [1]
The percentage of civil servants in the active population in France is 21.9{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139} whereas it is 10.6{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139} in Germany [2]
The number of years of contribution required for a full-rate pension in France in 2020 will be 41.5 while it will be necessary to contribute 45 years in Germany [3].
The public deficit as a ratio of GDP and 2.9{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139} in France [4] while Germany has a surplus of 0.5{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139} [5]

That why I say:

Der Anteil der Beamten an der Erwerbsbevölkerung in Frankreich beträgt 21,9{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139}, in Deutschland 10,6{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139}. [2]

also sage ich:

Fazit:

1. Wer gut leben will, muss vorsorgen.

La Fourmi n’est pas prêteuse ;
C’est là son moindre défaut.
« Que faisiez-vous au temps chaud ?
Dit-elle à cette emprunteuse.
— Nuit et jour à tout venant
Je chantais, ne vous déplaise.
— Vous chantiez ? j’en suis fort aise.
Eh bien! dansez maintenant. »

La Cigale et la Fourmi, de Jean de La Fontaine

All plastics are recyclable!

There are issues that connect the Europeans more than separating them. One is reducing the impact of human activities on the environment. That’s why today we will be discussing the subject of plastic recycling. Without a doubt, we first have to produce less plastic waste. But do you know that plastic is one of the materials that can best be recycled? I’m not talking about these bottles here, which can be converted into synthetic fibers. I’m talking about these dirty plastics, deformed packaging and plastic bags of all kinds. These plastics can be converted by pyrolysis up to 100{3640e4e722d9f27d3dbe283aef984f81d2295096ae31bcb31608f3ffda9cc139} in fuel (diesel and gasoline). Pyrolysis is therefore an alternative to waste incineration. It is a thermal decomposition process without air. It has the advantage that it can be implemented in units of the size of a container. So we can imagine that it can be implemented in communities and local jobs can be created. Politicians should therefore adopt this technical solution and change the legislation to improve the economics of pyrolysis, just as they have done for renewable energy.

Europe faces its destroyers

For many, Europe is a rather abstract term that has no real existence because not all of them experience Europe just because they live where they were born. They are the European citizens of small nations. These citizens  have created these nations and they know and appreciate their democratic functioning. However, the European nations do not weigh much anymore. I will call the destroyer of Europe those who propose anything other than an European nation.

We are not patriots because the European nation is not to defend but to build. The Europe of Nations is the one we live in, and it does not provide the means to influence the fate of the world.

Be convinced that you can not create a nation without being a nationalist. Those who deny the reality of nationalism are the destroyers of Europe. The nationalist is a reality because it is a necessity. Nationalism frees people from bondage, slavery, domination and alienation. This nationalism freed the colonised countries from their colonisers. Be aware that you live in a postcolonial and nationalist world. A little nationalism is not bad.

To decide alone means to destroy Europe. If France and Germany agree to decide the fate of Europe alone, they will not build Europe, they will destroy it. Anyway, the final decision goes back to the European Parliament and we see here that Europe is not so badly structured. We hope that these politicians learn from their mistakes. Who wants to decide alone is a dictator. Boris Johnson, who wants to bypass his parliament, has shown no democratic attitude. Mattéo Salvini’s desire to govern on his own is also not a democratic attitude.

Let’s stop the French from giving lessons to others. Because of our high-profile political regime, a Mattéo Salvini or a Boris Johnson in France would have had all the powers. Europe can not be a big France. It would, however, be necessary for Europeans to elect a president by universal suffrage, as only one president elected by all Europeans by universal suffrage can speak for Europe. Those who are satisfied to have EU Commissioners as leaders, are European destroyers. Their ideal is China or a liberalism that seeks to balance democratic will through lobbying.

A politician needs to know how to bring people together and not divide them. In a universal way, people should never choose someone as the leader who plays against each other. People must be united to be able to weigh. A politician who divides the people according to their religious affiliation or because of their belonging to a south, north, west or east, is an enemy of Europe.
