Summary
France should step up its support for Ukraine and prepare for a long and intense conflict, in particular by introducing lifelong military service to strengthen national identity. Public debt and social welfare are seen as threats to sovereignty, and there are calls for social welfare responsibilities to be transferred from the state to individuals and private insurance companies. War in Ukraine
Within the European framework, France must support Ukraine even more strongly. The goal must be to push Russia out of Ukraine, i.e., to liberate it completely and allow it to exercise sovereignty over its borders as they were when the Budapest Memorandum was signed. Europe must prepare for a long-term, high-intensity war. A military service adapted to modern warfare, which would affect all age groups and last a lifetime, as in Switzerland, must be established. The goal is to defend the nation, strengthen national identity, and project our ideals born of the Revolution. Each company must work with the army to determine how it could contribute to the war effort.
Debt and social protection
Debt interest payments are now the largest item of public expenditure. This burden is destroying public services, undermining the competitiveness of our businesses, and jeopardizing our sovereignty. This debt was created in a context of irresponsibility. The primary responsibility of individuals is to provide for their own needs. The nation must not substitute itself for the duties of individuals. The duty of the nation is to provide public services, which only it can provide. The nation must therefore no longer provide social protection, which is the responsibility of private insurance in a modern state. The insured must be able to decide the level of protection they need and what they finance with their money. Nor should the nation intervene in the pension system. It should not be responsible for ensuring its financial stability. It is not up to the nation to set the retirement age.
Education
The sole purpose of national education is to ensure that individuals are sufficiently educated to provide for their own needs and contribute to the good of the nation. Everything else should be outside the scope of national education.
The Republican Front
The Republican Front should not be used to exclude political parties such as the National Rally (Rassemblement national) from the political arena. This party has evolved and can no longer be described as non-republican. The only Republican Front is one that unites to serve the interests of the nation.
Environment
France produces carbon-free electricity with less than 30% renewable energy. Germany produces 60% of its electricity from renewable energy sources but emits an average of 300 g/kWh, whereas a coal-fired power plant emits a good kilo of CO2 per kWh. The electric cars offered by mainstream manufacturers often consume more than 20 kWh per 100 km in real-world use. An electric car in Germany therefore emits 6 kg of CO2 per 100 km, or 60 g per km. A lightweight 125 cc electric motorcycle, which often costs less than €5,000, consumes an average of 5 kWh per 100 km. Even though it can only be used for around 270 days a year, counting days when the temperature drops below around 3 degrees, when it becomes dangerous to ride a motorcycle, especially in the morning, an electric motorcycle reduces electricity consumption by a factor of 4. In Germany, this brings us to 15 g of CO2 per km.
A car with an internal combustion engine car costs around €10 per 100 km. If I ride an electric motorcycle for 8 years, covering a distance of 7,500 km per year, it will take me around 8 to 10 years to buy a new one with the money I save on energy costs. However, I doubt that this will be necessary.
An electric motorcycle such as the Seat Mo 125 is built in a modular fashion. It is unlikely that I would have to buy the whole thing again. It is more likely that I would have to buy a new frame, battery, or motor housed in the wheel. I would recommend that those who wish to serve the nation relax the L7e category by increasing the maximum speed, which could reach 75 mph instead of 55 mph. For safety, a new category could be created, with mandatory safety equipment such as a harness, roll bars, and helmet use. This would allow for the emergence of a category of lightweight, affordable, versatile, and aerodynamic electric vehicles.
Israeli-Palestinian conflict
France’s recognition of Palestine is a presidential decision that honors the country. Israel also has the right to get rid of Hamas, which attacked it on October 7, killing 1,200 Israeli civilians. If this means destroying Gaza so that the Palestinian people finally realize that they have lost everything and that Hamas does not serve their interests, so be it. However, Israelis should also open their eyes and realize the situation the far right has led them into. Both Hamas and the far right have worked against peace: the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, the policy of settlement in the West Bank. If Israel continues its settlement policy, Europeans and a coalition of Middle Eastern countries will have to consider military action to restore international law.
Solidarity
Solidarity is a matter for individuals, not for the state. Social protection destroys solidarity between individuals. It is through the individual’s free choice to spend their money to support the activity of another individual, in addition to the service provided, that the best form of solidarity in a short circuit is expressed.
